Pipes Joining at Site: Pipe joints to be filled and flushed with 1:3 (by volume) cement sand mortar at site.

Externally Flushed Joint: The pipe joints are to be externally flushed for pipe diameter 300mm to 1200mm.

Internally Flushed Joint: The pipe joints are to be internally flushed for pipe diameter 1350mm and above.

Additionally, flexible joint pipes prove invaluable in scenarios where settlement of laid pipes is anticipated. This includes situations with high backfill, pipes laid in newly filled land, or instances where pipes are placed over compressible underlying ground.

Standard pipes are manufactured with flexible joint incorporating well proven butt end joint with cast-in integral steel collar. Pipes are manufactured to British Standard B.S. 5911:Part 1, Malaysian Standard EN 1916 or equivalent, using either spinning or vertical wet-cast process.

Flexible Pipe Joint: This joint incorporates the well proven steel collar and elastomeric sealing gasket to ensure a watertight and yet flexible type joint. This butt end joint design ensures that the jacking forces are transmitted over the maximum area of the pipe, thus reducing the possibility of damage during jacking operation.
